Is it safe to drive a mazda rx8 while the power steering is off?
Im having problems with the power steering, light comes and goes when the light is on... no power steering. I was was wondering is it safe to drive the vechile while the power steering is off or will that mess up the module since its an electrical power steering on the rx8

unless you are built butt ugly strong like a bull and can twist limbs off of trees at will I suggest not driving the car with damaged components. Keep in mind that a miscalculation on your part means a bad accident and you do not want to admit you were driving a defective car and you know it. The ticket just gets bigger and bigger for what happens after you crash. I have no use for electric power steering. Hydralic steerin is still the best and least expensive option out there. Several companies have tried and so far failed to come up with a cheaper more dependable steering component

I see your situation, to which I can relate. Its like financing a car and then finding out that the car has a myriad of problems. Youre stuck, but the only solution is a radical one. Unless you want to be stuck on the side of the road, so-to-speak, you need to find a better alternative. In this case, I suggest that you file a police report and have them ameliorate your situation. Not only do you deserve to live in a safe environment, but your children do as well. They deserve better. You deserve better. I encourage you. A calorie is the amount of energy it takes to bring one liter of water at 0 degrees Celsius to a boil, at sea level. Nicely enough the mL was defined as the volume of one gram of water at sea level, so : 0.120L times temperature change....

A Career with Animals?
Hey -so i'm currently in college studying Maths, Chemistry, Biology and Sociology. I've always been set on medicine or veterinary medicine but after work experience in both, i'm no longer sure...
So I started looking into Zoology which i've thought of doing since year 8. But now i'm completely stumped, I know I want a career involving animals in some way, for example wildlife conservation. But I don't want to be stuck in a lab all day either or have a terrible salary... So yeah -are there any jobs involving wildlife conservation and Zoology? With a lot of travelling and decent pay? What would I need to take in university for them?
I know it's a huge question, major Brainfart... I'm just so confused and dreading entering a job I hate till i'm 65!!! Thanks in advance!

You might want to think about being a wildlife or field biologist.You will spend most of your time outdoors studying animals..but you will have to spend time in the office to analyze the data you collect in the field and to write reports etc.You can have the opportunity to travel depending on who you work for. This line of work typically does not pay well.. people go into this field due to their love and passion of animals...not for the money they will make.Sure, you can make a living doing this, but don't count on getting rich.This field is also very competative.I say go for a job you will love rather than one that will just pay you a lot but leave you miserable and hating your life.You can go to school and major in zoology, biology, wildlife management, or similar.

Wildlife population affect the process of food chain. There is the relationship between plants and animals by the process of eating and being eaten and hence it affects the ecosystem in Amazon forest also.

Well, first any big event drays a lot of people who have no interest in the cause.
Second, I find it interesting that there are no trash barrels in any of the photos. I also don't see any recycle bins which anyone in their right mind would provide for Earth Day. I think that is the municipalities responsibility to plan for this and apparently they didn't
Third one pick shows a great deal of trash in a small area which leads me to believe they were told to discard trash there of someone raked it into a small space to make it look like a garbage dump.
Fourth how can you say that all green activists are hypocrites because one parks management didn't plan for trash. There have also been comments that Fox Nation stages these photos.

In what aspects is an Acura MDX better than a Mercedez GLK?
My friends recently leased a GLK for 600 dollars per month, fully loaded. This is in Ontario. I am now looking to purchase a car, and thinking of getting an MDX. Not new, like his, but in great condition, about 65years old. Something similar to this.

65 years old????? When was it made, then??? Cars are just choices. Probably the ACURA is btter for maintenance and more trouble-free. Each has it's OWN personality, aspects, and comfort and safety levels. THey are pretty close in terms of fuel m ileage, but the Acura is probably a bit better. Power is similar, Both require the same basic services over time, including ALL fluid changes at 100,000 mile intervals.

Isn't the real question about Climate Change why is it always doom&gloom and none of the good is highlighted?
My question has nothing to do with man made or not, my question is why is it portrayed assuch a bad thing?They denounce it as the end of the world, but yet when scientist look at the reality and look at the historical record there is in fact great benefits from a warmer earth.Greenland was called that because at the time of it's discovery by Vikings it was in fact green and warm enough to sustain life.The little ice age put an end to the Vikings settlement a 100 years later.
A list of benefits from a warmer earth,
-Longer growing seasons
-More farmland in cold regions
-More food production from higher CO2
-Less oil used to for heating during winters
-More coral reef growth
-LESS hurricanes
-Shipping benefitss using northern passage (4K less miles)

Mostly because most of those are not likely to be benefits.There are certainly some benefits and some private investors have long been working to take advantage, developing arctic ports for example.But we won't be able to take advantage of longer growing seasons, for example, without major investments in water storage capabilities.Anywhere that relies on snowpack for water storage, the U.S. west for example, is likely to have to deal with increased spring flooding and increased summer droughts due to climate change.The adaptation will have to be massive investment in dams including the purchase of vast new tracks of public land and/or the taking of land now used for outdoorsmanship.We can make adaptations, the question though is who will pay for it all.Right now in America we have chosen to just suffer the extreme weather, the floods and the droughts and to do none of the rebuilding of infrastructure required to adapt to climate change.

The big reason is that the cons outweigh the pros.
1) higher water levels = people having homes and villages destroyed and other land
2) the temperature change will cause the currents to change causing many problems for many nations
3) salinity change cause cause problems for much of the marine life many people depend on for making a living along with many other negative implications.
4) the CO2 is often accompanied with many other pollutants causing/adding to health issues for citizens
5) causes pH to decrease, this could lead to more dying of sea life causing hard ship for businesses, people, etc as well
6) over time the Earth may become too hot, in this case it could make it impossible to inhabit the Earth for future generations.
I hope you understand the long term implications vs the short term is a large part of the argument.As Americans we are about planning for the future, and not ignoring the future so that we may profit in the short term.
I suspect the main reason you tend to hear mostly "gloom and doom" from people who accept global warming is that those who reject global warming are so busy painting the situation as being made entirely of kittens and rainbows that the realists are just struggling to get across the very real threats.

I am currently doing geography 3/4 and studying the use and management of water on fruit growing.
I came across a case study which stated
1. Less tractor hours, resulting in less pollution and environmental impact. As a flow on effect this has also resulted in reduced input costs, in particular fuel.
My question is for how many hours a day what would an average fruit farmer use their tractor and would you have any idea on how much less this bloke would be doing.

That's not a measure of efficiency, that's a measure of consumption.
Efficiencies measure a relationship between two or more things. Things like; the most Kwh/unit of resource, or Kwh/$ spent, for production measures. Or for environmental measures, things like; the lowest amount of pollutants/unit of resource, and the highest amounts of pollutants/$ spent.
I think Germany was but they were using nuclear power and are now phasing that out...I also heard they use 30% solar power.
I think the UK is supposed to be working on it (at least the politicians acknowledge it)...

I have a tiny twin sister and I am her brother btw (both of us are 16.. I am a quarterback and she is a flyer in cheerleading).. I tower over her sometimes when I see her around in the house sometimes and she just laughs. Whenever we have brother sister time together (in private of course), I sometimes pick her up, throw her around in my arms as if she is a small child, and tease her (using her as an arm rest and wrestling on the trampoline).. She can pass to be my little sister since she looks 13 14. I am 6'4 and she is about 5'1.. she loves the attention I give to her and she is my only sibling

Why does my friend say CFL lightbulbs are bad for the environment?
He said that CFL lightbulbs only save you money and energy, which does not translate into helping the environment. he went on to say that, "if you have a non-poluting source of energy, why posion the environment with posionous cfl lightbulbs?" At a recent talk, I heard that 290 million CFL's were sold in this country in 2007.The electricity they saved, if generated by burning coal, would have contributed over 100 metric tons of mercury to the atmosphere.In contrast, if every single one of those bulbs was broken, the total mercury would be 0.16 metric ton.But we don't just break them open.At least in California, CFL's must be recycled, and the mercury is extracted responsibly.
